Welcome to Pack 226!

Pack 226 is dedicated to a lively Cub Scout experience with activities that capture the interest of boys yet are fun for the entire family, including siblings. Everything we do is a family activity! Our Cub Scouts learn essential skills and enjoyment of outdoor activities, community involvement, personal safety, sports and the environment.

Events include: Camping, Hiking, Holiday parties, Swimming, Pinewood Derby, Service Projects, Canoeing, Blue and Gold Banquet, Conservation Projects, Field Trips, Summer Activities, Special Rank Activities in Dens and Patrols. We hope you will consider joining our Cub Scout Family!

Welcome New Scouts to Pack 226!

We have been signing up new scouts at Wesley Memorial, Coddington Elementary, Holly Tree Elementary, Parsley Elementary, Bradley Creek Elementary and Winter Park Elementary over the last few weeks signing up lots of new scouts to join the fun at Pack 226. If you saw us at one of these events, I hope you are signed up and fired up about scouts. If you missed us - no problem! You can go by the Cape Fear Council Scout Office at 110 Longstreet Drive to submit an application. Just tell them you want to join Pack 226 and they will get the information to us.

It is important to note here that we really hope you will join Pack 226 and have some fun with us. If you choose another Pack to join - that is fine. The most important thing is that you get involved in scouting and take advantage of the tremendous fun and learning experiences that scouting can offer. Please let us know if we can help in any way.

Upcoming Important Dates

Whether you are a new scout to Pack 226 or one of our returning scouts. Here are some important dates to make sure you have on your calendar:

September 19, 2010 - Kickoff Pack Meeting

We will kickoff our year at our annual kickoff celebration at Poplar Grove Plantation from 4 - 6 pm on Sunday, September 19. All scouts will be provided a information packet for the year. New Dens will meet their leaders and the other scouts in their Den. What a great start to the year!!

September 21, 2010 - New Parent Orientation

We will hold an information session for all our new scout parents at the Scout House at Wesley Memorial on Tuesday, September 21 at 6:30 pm. Come find out everything you need to know about Scouting and Pack 226. ALL your questions will be answered here.

October 18, 2010 - October Pack Meeting

Regular Pack Meetings are held on the 3rd Monday of each month at 6:30 pm and are located in teh Wesley Memorial Activity Building (gym) located directly behind the church.

October 29 - 31, 2010 - Fall Family Campout

Our first camping trip for Pack 226 will be held at Camp Tuscarora. Cub Scouts and their families are invited to attend. Families are invited to come up Friday night or Saturday morning. Activities start around 9 am. More information, including directions and an agenda for the weekend, will be provided for you.
